Bitriver is the largest mining data center operator and mining equipment importer in Russia. The company provides complete solutions for connecting and maintaining equipment for the production of digital assets in its own high-tech data centers.
Founded in 2017 by Igor Runts, Bitriver has become one of the global leaders in the data center and industrial mining industry. The company's goal is to develop and implement the most promising information and energy-intensive technologies, thereby contributing to the development of the digital economy.
Today, Bitriver operates 15 active data centers with a total capacity of over 533 MW, housing more than 175,000 units of computing equipment.
Bitriver's data centers are high-tech computing facilities capable of meeting the computing power needs of any company, even very large ones. Bitriver's data centers serve as anchor production hubs around which modern IT clusters of a new technological era are forming, in line with the goals of Russia's digital economy development.
We work directly with leading global mining equipment manufacturers, allowing us to guarantee some of the best prices on the market. Bitriver’s experts will assist you in choosing the most efficient equipment, while our in-house logistics team will organize quick and safe delivery to the installation site.
We offer our clients the ability to utilize the computing power of equipment hosted in our data centers for energy-intensive computations across various tasks.
Environmental sustainability is a strategic priority for us. We strive to follow best
practices and initiatives in green development, as well as work to increase the share of
environmentally clean energy to minimize our negative impact on the environment.
Bitriver minimizes its environmental impact by using affordable electricity from renewable
sources for mining. The first and largest Bitriver data center in Bratsk received positive
verification of its zero greenhouse gas emissions report from the British company BSI in
2022.
Bitriver fully meets its tax obligations, creates new job opportunities, and works in close collaboration with federal and regional government agencies, making a significant contribution to the development of Russia’s digital economy.
"Gazprom Neft" together with Bitriver are implementing projects to develop energy-intensive data centers (DCs) at oil fields. Associated gas is used by gas-piston power plants that supply energy to the data centers, thereby contributing to the environmentally friendly utilization of associated petroleum gas (APG) and methane.
The combined capacity of the joint projects is approximately 12 MW.
Bitriver collaborates with EN+ Group, a global leader in low-carbon aluminum production and renewable energy, and the largest private energy holding in the world (with 4 hydropower plants with a combined capacity of 15 GW).
Bitriver and EN+ Group have established a joint venture called Bit+, with a capacity of 30 MW.
Bitriver has developed and implemented a corporate social responsibility (CSR) policy, which includes:
Bitriver carries out local charity programs, community initiatives, and supports sports and a healthy lifestyle.
